Coppélia with Philadelphia Ballet: A family friendly and light-hearted event

Philadelphia Ballet & The Alliance Française

Join the Alliance for a family-friendly, delightful afternoon of storytelling and French artistic history with Angel Corella’s and Philadelphia Ballet’s Coppélia. Our event begins at 12:15 at the Alliance with a light lunch and a pre-show presentation by a member of the company’s artistic leadership. We will learn about the French origination of the ballet, and how the ballet company honors the early artistic intentions in this season’s staging. The performance at the Academy of Music begins at 2pm, with a run time around two hours. The dancers are accompanied by the impressive Philadelphia Ballet Orchestra, led by Beatrice Jona Affron.
