World-renowned soprano Barbara Hannigan is an “intensely musical, intoxicating, graceful, passionate” artist whose “whole being breathes music” (De Telegraaf, Netherlands). Following a thrilling PCMS recital in 2017, she returns with French pianist Bertrand Chamayou for an adventurous program that includes John Zorn’s highly virtuosic Jumalattaret and Olivier Messiaen’s song cycle Chants de terre et de ciel, exploring the spiritual dimension of marriage and parenthood.
Messiaen: Chants de terre et de ciel
Scriabin: Poème-nocturne, Op. 61
Scriabin: Vers la flamme, Op. 72
Zorn: Jumalattaret
