Staff, teachers, students, members, friends... Everyone is encouraged to bring something to eat. The bake sale will end Saturday, October 14. Money raised will go to AF Puerto Rico.

As you know, Porto-Rico has been dramatically hit by two devastating hurricanes within two weeks –Irma and Maria- that have devastated the island and imposed dire conditions of life to its inhabitants: lack of water, electricity, gas, and communication networks. More than 60 schools host stranded people and 70, 000 people have left home.
Although the Alliance Française of Porto-Rico has been lucky enough to claim minor material damage , it has had no electricity since September 6, date of the first hurricane. The power outage is likely to last for a period of 6 months, as the island network is badly damaged.
The Alliance is struggling to restore its activities, with the goal of reopening classes within a fortnight.
In order to do so, the Alliance of Porto-Rico urgently needs to buy an electricity generator that would allow it to resume classes.
With very little savings to fall back upon, restarting teaching activities as soon as possible, is vital to the survival of the organization.
