About Peter Mavrides

Following his passion and eye for art, Haverford resident Peter Mavrides brings a touch of Parisian markets to the Main Line. What started as a way to decorate his own home, Peter has taken to purchasing and displaying European art, for himself and for clients. He teamed up with Spogue Kitchens & Bath in Wayne to display his finds, which hang throughout the showrooms.

Peter’s art collecting journey began on a trip to Lisbon and Paris. While wandering around France, he stopped at places of significance to expats like Gertrude Stein. “I just found the times of experimentation and expression fascinating,” he says.“These are the people that formed the 20th century, the culture.” He visited markets and sifted through hundreds of pieces, seeking ones he found special, shipping them home and having them framed. Peter has plans to continue searching for unique finds in other European markets to continue displaying on the Main Line.

Over 100 pieces of art hang throughout Spogue, adding another element to the immaculate showrooms. Works are integrated so that they feel as though they belong in home. Pieces range from French impressionist inspired pieces to colorful Picassoesque works.

About Spogue Kitchens and Bath

Fernando Rogelio Guerra is the owner and lead kitchen designer of Spogue Kitchens & Bath, which is based in Wayne, Pennsylvania. He designs kitchens and exquisite, functional living spaces for the home. He prides himself on each of his projects being truly unique and able to stand on their own.

Fernando began his career in the kitchen and bath industry in 1987, working for leading cabinetry manufacturers SieMatic Möbelwerke from Germany, and Smallbone out of England. He opened his first showroom in 1993 in Moorestown, NJ, where he represented famous labels such as Mark Wilkinson Furniture out of England and Heritage Cabinetry. Today, Fernando represents SieMatic Möbelwerke and his own private label lines.

His works with kitchens, bathrooms, interior spaces, as well as showcase homes, have been nationally and internationally recognized, receiving numerous awards. His portfolio consists of residential, commercial and industrial design throughout the United States, South America and the Caribbean.

"As a designer, the most important thing to me is to listen carefully to my client's wishes to bring them a wonderful kitchen of their own that they absolutely love."

All of the designers at Spogue create one-of-a-kind solutions that far exceed classic kitchen and cabinetry planning.  They tailor every assignment to meet their clients’ preferences, surroundings and lifestyle. Whether it’s for a remodeling project or new construction, Spogue's designers consider the architectural integrity of the environment, aesthetics, and complete integration of appliances, lighting and electronics for usable, timeless designs.
